Dr. Henry Mercoli is a seasoned French bariatric and minimally invasive surgeon with over a decade of clinical practice. He works at Elsan Group in the Obesity and digestive surgery center, Polyclinique de Franche-Comté in Besancon, Fr.
Holding an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, he bridges the gap between surgery and MedTech innovation, actively contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies and surgical techniques.
He is also past President and co-chair of SOFFCO-Jeune, the French community of young bariatric surgeons, demonstrating his commitment to surgical education and leadership within the bariatric community. He is also member of the SOFFCOMM, Young-IFSO task force and IFSO.
His expertise spans Minimally Invasive Surgery, MedTech and surgical innovation, and education through his faculty role at IRCAD France.
Dr. Mercoli has performed over 250 procedures using the AI-enhanced Moon Surgical robotic system, making him one of the most experienced surgeons worldwide with this technology.
