Dr. Elisabeth Martinez-Tellez Elisabet Martínez Téllez graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2001. She completed her specialized health training via MIR in Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital Clínic and Provincial de Barcelona, finishing in 2008. In addition, during his residency training he spent two months in the Department of Physiology at Michigan State University in Lansing, under the guidance of Prof. Uhal.
He is currently in the third year of a PhD program at the Department of Surgery of the Autonomous University of Barcelona with the title: "Prognostic factors of sarcoma pulmonary metastases".
She joined as an attending physician at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in 2009 where she has practiced her entire professional career, combining clinical medical activity with teaching and research.
She has actively participated as principal investigator or collaborator in different competitive grant projects. The lines of research focus on tracheal pathology, thoracic oncology with staging and treatment of lung cancer, in the development of lung metastases especially sarcomas and advances in minimally invasive surgery in lung cancer, presenting several papers and papers at national and international conferences and publications.
She combines her work in health care, research (as part of the Insitut de Re- cerca Biomedica Sant Pau) and teaching as a tutor for residents and associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She joined the Thoracic Surgery team at HM Delfos, led by Dr Belda last year 2018.
