Dr. Yasuhiro Tsutani Dr. Tsutani is a professor in the Division of Thoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery, Kindai University Faculty of Medicine, Osaka-Sayama, Japan. He received his medical degree from Hiroshima University in 2000 and his Ph.D. from Hiroshima University in 2009.
He completed his residencies in general surgery and general thoracic surgery at Hiroshima University. He completed postdoctoral research fellowship program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York. He is a board-certified surgeon of the Japan Surgical Society, the Japanese Association for Thoracic Surgery, and the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery. He received the Japanese Association Chest Surgery Award in 2016.
His main clinical and research interests are sublobar resection for early lung cancer, neoadjuvant/adjuvant chemo-immunotherapy, lung cancer with interstitial pneumonia, biomarker using circulating small RNA, and cancer organoid.
